    1. Hi all,
Well, last week my almost new quick blade paddle snapped in half on my first stroke of the day. Needless to say, the guy at tri paddle accused me of sitting on it.
So…I am looking for a 47 in paddle if anyone has one for sale. I can be reached at 808-344-1715.
      Thanks
      mimi

      Hi Mimi,

Sounds like Wendell needs to send it back to Quickblade if it is defective I recommend you get an experienced paddler who knows him to go with you to talk to him.
      Patricia

    3. Wendal is not known for his great people skils. Mimi told me that he would send back to the manufacturer. I hope that this is indeed what he does.

    4. Aloha,

I’m experimenting with carbon fibre repairs – I’m almost finished with the repair of one paddle that was snapped in two towards the top of the blade.

If Wendle is unable to provide a new one free – please save the pieces and I will repair it so that it is as good as new. However I’m leaving Maui on the 23rd of April for 6 months.

PADDLERS’ TIP: Whenever you place your paddle in the bottom of a canoe – set it such that the blade offset is up. If it is placed with the blade offset down and it is accidentally stepped on – it will fracture.

Sometimes the fracture is not obvious immediately and the paddle breaks weeks later when you are paddling. There may also be a second fracture (not obvious) at the top of the shaft just below the handle. This was the case with the paddle I am presently repairing.

      Respectfully submitted,
      David
